Blue Highway Growth Capital Managing Partner, Christine Jones, recently served on a panel for the Rural Community Action Assembly. This event was hosted on October 15th by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences, and the Center for Rural Pennsylvania. In keeping with current safety guidelines, the assembly was held virtually.
The focus of this event was “Place-Based Partnerships for Capital and Regional Investment Strategies.” Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, rural businesses struggled to gain access to capital. Unfortunately, this past year has brought further devastation to many rural economies and businesses. This conference brought together business leaders and community advocates to discuss economic development and recovery strategies in the rural regions of Pennsylvania. Additional information on the Rural Community Action Assembly can be found on their website.
