Christine Jones

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Christine is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Highway Capital. Chris has 25 years of expertise in sourcing, structuring, and managing investments through two funds she co-founded. Her investment portfolio includes small middle market companies across a broad range of industries including business services, health care services, telecommunications, transportation and logistics, consumer products, and manufacturing. These investments have been made in rapidly growing businesses and structured to support growth, acquisition and recapitalization strategies.

Chris has served on the boards of numerous portfolio companies and various industry associations. Ms. Jones was a member of the Board of Directors of the St. John’s International School in Waterloo, Belgium and its Foundation in the United States.

Chris holds a B.A. degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Karin Gregory, J.D.

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Karin is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Highway Capital. She has over 30 years of business experience as an attorney, executive and early stage investor. She spent five years as Vice President at Mass Ventures, an early stage socially responsible venture capital fund focused on urban and rural areas of Massachusetts.

Prior to co-founding Blue Highway, Karin served as Chair of CEI Ventures, a socially responsible impact private equity firm and served on the board of its parent company, Coastal Enterprises, Inc (CEI), a nonprofit lender and investor specializing in rural business and community development, financing and related policy. She serves on for-profit and non-profit boards throughout New England.

In 2006, Karin co-founded Furman, Gregory Deptula (FGD Law), a full service law firm which represents early stage technology companies and investors throughout New England.

Karin has extensive contacts throughout the region’s technology, business, and civic communities. She is active in a number of relevant industry and professional organizations and is frequently a guest speaker at many private equity events throughout the New England area.

Karin holds a B.A. degree from Wells College, an M.P.H. from Boston University in Health Services, and a J.D. degree from UNH School of Law, as well as a certificate in Advanced Licensing. Karin is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and in Maine.

Carolyn Harkins

Investment Committee Member

Carolyn joined as an independent Investment Committee member at Blue Highway Capital in 2023. Previously, she worked for nearly two decades as an in-house advisor and Principal for TL Ventures, a venture capital firm, where she invested in early-stage software and services companies and served as a director and observer on portfolio company boards to help management teams execute strategic initiatives. From 2009 through 2017, Carolyn also served as a senior financial advisor and Partner for Penn Mezzanine, a regional mezzanine and subordinated equity fund that she co-founded. Carolyn also advised JDRF, a leading source of funding for type 1 diabetes research, in launching a venture philanthropy fund.

Ryan Pierce

Principal

Ryan is a Principal of Blue Highway Capital. Prior to joining Blue Highway, Ryan was a Vice President at Mufson Howe Hunter & Company, a middle-market investment bank focused primarily on M&A and the private placement of growth capital for first-to-market, privately-held companies in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Ryan provided both sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory, as well as capital raises, acquisition financings, valuations and strategic advisory services to clients in a variety of industries. Ryan began his career with Grant Thornton LLP working in the Business Advisory Services group where he focused on conducting financial due diligence (FDD) engagements on transactions.

Ryan holds a B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University, and an M.B.A. from LaSalle University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds FINRA Series 63 & 79 Licenses. Ryan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Arinze Onyenezi

Principal

Arinze joined Blue Highway Capital in 2024. Before joining Blue Highway Capital, he served as an independent investment associate and committee member at Kapor Capital, a venture capital fund specializing in gap-closing technologies and founders. In this role, Arinze focused on sustainability, digital health, gov tech, and fintech, while also providing valuation models and industry research support. Concurrently, he founded and managed Stonebase Capital, a private equity search and advisory firm focused on the lower middle market. In 2021, Arinze was an associate at Giant’s Shoulders Capital, a UK-based private equity advisory firm. He started his career as an operations engineer at ExxonMobil and Shell, where he spent four years managing capital resources, enhancing operational, safety, and environmental efficiencies, and overseeing extended unit turnarounds.

Arinze holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
