Alex is a Co-Founder and General Partner of Blue Highway Capital. He has 18 years of experience in the private equity industry investing in small companies. He was a co-founder and General Partner at Seaflower Ventures, where he and his two partners raised three funds totaling $56 million over sixteen years. At Seaflower, Alex led the investment of $23 million into ten early stage companies and served on the boards of eight portfolio companies as a hands-on, valuable resource to management teams.
Prior to Seaflower Ventures, Alex spent seven years in senior operating roles and consulting positions at Abbott Laboratories, the Michigan Biotechnology Institute, and Competence Assurance Systems. In 2012, he co-founded of Methane Harvest, Inc., a renewable energy company and served as the company’s Chief Business Officer for two years.
Alex currently serves as Board President of the Chocorua Lake Conservancy, a small land trust located in New Hampshire. He is an active member of the Western New York Foundation, which supports sustainable nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life in the seven counties of Western New York State. Alex previously served on the board of Shady Hill School and as Chair of the school’s Audit Committee.
Alex holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
